Susannah (Brig) logbook, 1805-1806.

The logbook of the brig Susannah details a shipping voyage from possibly Newburyport, Mass., to Savannah, Ga., Jamaica, and New York, Sept. 1805-July 1806. The logbook is incomplete. The brig's home port was possibly Newburyport. The logbook includes records of coolie labor, and descriptions of death at sea, and capture at sea and impressment by a British vessel. During its voyage, the Susannah spoke the brig Lydia out of Philadelphia.
